New emergency clinic
The plastic box containing the first aid system S.A.V.E. weighs a mere 300 kilograms. S.A.V.E. is short for Schnelle Ambulante Vorklinische Erstversorgung (Fast Ambulatory Pre-hospital First Aid.) It was developed for the West German Ministry of Research and Technology. It is a revolutionary emer-
gency aid system. The cont a i n e r is excellently equipped from a medical and technical point of view. It can be used on traditional carriers, such as a truck chassis, but can also be transported by rail, helicopter or air. It can be taken eff the vehicle by means of mechanical or hydraulic supports. When natural disasters
occur, several of these S.A.V.E. units can be brought together to form an on-the-spot emergency clinic. The caravan of the future will probably look something like the S.A.V.E. containers. The unit or container could be rented without the chassis and, outside the holiday season, the vehicle could be used to pull different loads.
