Mini budget
PA Wellington The Government’s mini budget is expected to be announced today. Details were completed yesterday and the Government’s aim was to announce it as quickly as possible, said officials in the Prime Minister’s office. The Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) said after the Government caucus met yesterday that the announcement of the package was imminent but he couid not say I exactly when it would be. He would like to see it announced this week because Parliament would not sit again until Tuesday, although there was no constitutional reason why it had to be announced in Parliament.
