Mauger seeded to final
PA Hamilton The New Zealand speedway rider Ivan Mauger, who won his fifth world championship this year, has been seeded direct to the 1978 intercontinental speedway final in Fredericia, Denmark, on July 2. A spokesman for the New Zealand Speedway Control Board said that four riders from the Australasian speedway final, plus Mauger, nine from the Scandinavian final and two from the United States final will qualify for the intercontinental final.
