Rotary gift to hospital

The Ludhiana Hospital, in the Punjab province of India, will receive a gift of slsoo' from the Linwood-Woolston Rotary Club this afternoon. The club’s secretary (Mr J. Anderson) said that members had decided to make the gift after reading an article about the hospital in “The Press.” “The money qualifies for a one-for-one Government subsidy, making the total gift $3OOO. It will be presented to a representative of the hospital,” he said. Mr Anderson said the money had come from the club’s reserves. Fund-raising! activities to replace it would! be decided upon later.
