Forecast: Marlborough, Nelson: Northerlies, up to gale force about the outer Sounds and fresh elsewhere; cloudy, with rain at times,
mainly in Nelson and about the outer Sounds; moderate temperatures. Buller, Westland: Cloudy and rather cool, with periods of rain; little wind. Canterbury: rather cloudy, with little wind and rain about the Alps; possibly a temporary south-west wind change, with showers and cooler temperatures during the day. Outlook: Cold, showery weather in Canterbury; some showers elsewhere.
