Former All Black dies
PA Auckland A member of the 1949 AH Black team to South Africa, and a stalwart Of Auckland rugby, Mr Desmond Lawrence Christian, died in Auckland yesterday. Mr Christian, who was aged 54. toured with the 1949 Al! Blacks as a prop forward. He played 11 games on the tour, including the fourth test. He j played representative rugby for | Auckland for a number of sea- J sons and was a member of the i Otahuhu Rugby Football Club.
