Broadcast cuts draw protest
A strong protest will be sent to the Broadcasting Council expressing disfavour over the reduction of racing broadcasts by Radio New Zealand, and an imSrovement in the services is to e sought. This was decided unanimously at the annual meeting of the Banks Peninsula Trotting Club, which attracted an attendance of 114. Officers elected were: Patron, Mr C. E. Gray; president, Mr L. W. J Woods; senior vice-presi-dent,' Mr G. Mugford; junior vice-president, Mr E. G. Mitchell; treasurer. Mr H. R. Woods; committee. Messrs W. J. Baker, J. Brankin, P. G. Cunningham. W. L. Dawber, J. D. Geddes, R. J. D. Geddes, A. G. J. Gray, J. R. Stanbury, C E. Watkins, A. T. Watson; stewards, Messrs H. Banks, R. J. Chapman. A. J. Cunningham, D. A. Cunningham, J J. Geddes. E. G. Grant, J. N.
