N.Z. to seek $75M loan in U.S.
PA Wellington New Zealand proposes to make a SUS7SM public note issue on the New York market during September, the Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon) said. Mr Muldoon said this would be the first time New Zealand had borrowed on the United States domestic market for about 15 years. The terms of the loan would be fixed nearer the date of issue, which had been tentatively set at middle to late September, he said. New Zealand’s treble A rating on the New York market should ensure prime borrowing terms, said Mr Muldoon. The issue would be managed by Kidder Peabody and Company, New York.
