Air-control contract
I NZPA London A contract worth 52.5 M for the provision of equipment to improve New Zealand’s air traffic control system has been announced by Marconi Radar Systems, Ltd. The Marconi company, an off-shoot of GEC-Marcom electronics company, savs that under the terms of the contract it will supply the Civil Aviation Division of the Ministry of Transport with the latest digital signal processors for use at air traffic control stations at Auckland. Christchurch and Ohakea. “Included are modification kits and a range of ancilliarv equipment for each of these stations and for the installation at Wellington, where a Ferranti microwave, link is to be installed as part ot the over-all modernisation of the system.” the company statement said.
