Tecorians in Canterbury
Three of the five new executive officers of New Zealand Tecorians are Canterbury women. They were elected at the national conference held in Dunedin | The vice-president is Mrs ' Robyn Wommersley, who formed the Cheviot club and was its first president. The treasurer is Mrs Judy Frazer, former president of the main Christchurch club of Avon, and Mrs Dixie Horne, former president of the Waimairi Club, has been (elected education officer.

gates were among the 7 delegates from 52 clubs I attending the conference. The men represented two i all-male clubs in the North Island. This year men have i also joined the women memIbers in four Tecorian clubs, and this development was ' welcomed at the conference, i says Mrs Horne. i The Tecorians was formerly known as the Toast- • mistress organisation. The i new name is derived from "training and education in ■ communication and oracy.”
