Lake Ohau.—Fall of 3cm on' ; August 16; good ski-ing; alii ' facilities working; road open. Mount Hutt.—Fall of 30cm onj 1 August 9; firm, packed snow: all' facilities working: chains neces- j isary. Mount Olympus.—Fall of 13cm j lon August 9; good conditions:’ :skiable level 1200 m; three tows! land learners tow working; road I clear, chains essential. Porter Heights.—Fall of 25cm’ lon August 9; hard, packed snow ( lon all runs; all lifts working:. ■ road deal' Tekapo.—Last snowfall on . August 9; good cover; skiable’ level 1000 m; all lifts working;; road clear but chains must be 1 carried. Temple Basin.—Fall of 37cm on August 15; excellent conditions; downhill and beginners tow working; goods lift working’ 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. week-ends ; Treble Cone.—Fall of 30mm on August 16; hard snow; skiable level 1250 m; all tows working: road muddy in afternoon and chains necessary. Fox Peak.—Skiable level of i 1200 m; all tows working: scm of fresh snow; road open but chains must be carried. Amuri.—Fall of 10cm on August 18; skiable level 1400 m, powder snow; Bordeaux Basin and Shirt Front tows working: I road open, but chains necessary Mount Cheeseman.—Light fall on August 16; packed snow; skiabzle level 1570 m; main lifts working: road open to top car park but chains advisable. Coronet Peak.—Last fall on July 8; snow thin around base area: conditions firm in the i mornings, fair in afternoon; all •lifts working.
