Mr Million making progress

Special correspondent Palmerston North Mr Million ran a smart gallop at Awapuni yesterday morning in preparation for resuming at Tauranga next Tuesday. But the news about the Waikato candidate Ragham is all bad. He pulled up lame after galloping and there seems little chance he will be able to make the trip. Ragham is an acceptor for the Foxbridge Plate. He ran 1000 m with Stylish Sovereign but pulled ; up lame. The trouble seems to be near one of his heels. There seems little or no chance of a quick recovery, so his Waikato trip is jn doubt. Mr Million was sent 800 m on the inside trial which was sloppy. Surrey Park went with him but Mr Million was a length ahead . at the finish, running his 800 m in 51sec, the last 600 m in 38.4 sec. Time honours over 800 m went to Gold Arc. a recent addition to : the Ivil stable. Gold Arc ran. 800 m in 50see_. the final 600 m in : 37sec.
