Israelis fire on border villages

NZPA-Reuter Beirut! Israeli artillery has again shelled villages in southern Lebanon held bv Leftists and their Palestinian allies, the Palestianian news agency, W.A.F.A., has reported. The agency gave no details of damage. It said the shelling began at 6 p.m. on Mondav. The village of Tin was hit first, then the shelling was extended to other villages. The shelling came after fighting was reported to have broken out again between Rightists and Leftists along Lebanon’s southern border with Israel.

Travellers coming from the area said that five people were killed and 12 wounded in clashes between the Rightists and Leftists in the west* em sector of the border region. Two people were killed and six wounded in the eastern sector, including Ibl as-Saqi and Khiam The Palestine Liberation Organisation newspaper, “Falastin al-Thawra," said that the commando leader, Mr Yasser Arafat, had contacted Arab leaders and friendly States on the situation in the south.
