No new A.A. nominations
The six retiring members of the council of the Auto m o b i 1 e Association (Canterbury) will be reelected for another two-year term. Their nominations were the only ones received for six vacancies when nominations closed on Tuesday. The nominees — Messrs R. A. Ayton, E. R. Casbolt, T. D. Craig. H. M. Meyers, T. W. Milliken, and L. J. Menzies — will be declared re-elected at the association’s annual meeting on November 2. The other six members who do not retire this year are Messrs W. G. Bryant, H. G. Hunt, A. I. R. Jamieson, J. R. Mating, D. G. Sanders, and G. G. Turbott.
The council will elect a president and vice-president from within its own number at the annual meeting. Mr Hunt is now president and Mr Turbott vice-president.
