About the big gentle, cuddly animals who never get cross and are good at helping others because they can change into any shape. 4.15: FANTASTICA. The old art of black theatre is combined with modern TV techniques to create fantasy (repeat). 4.30: BEWITCHED. Tabitha convinces Sidney that Santa Claus is real (repeat).

A Nazi psychiatrist is given 36 hours to extract vital information from an abducted United States intelligence officer. M.G.M. (B/W). 12.10: NEWS, WEATHER.

3.00: CHICABOOM. “Romper Room’’ for younger children with Miss Helen. 3.20; THE LAUGHING POLICEMAN. P.C. 254 is back with a friendly word of advice and a funny story to tell. 3.30: CHICABAKE. Chic Littlewood and Willie McNab make and bake, and tell how it is done. 4.00: SUPERCAR. Mike Mercury and his magic space car which can fly swim and race. 4.25: FRONTIER ADVENTURES. A young woman’s fiery independence triggers the downfall of peonage on New Mexico territory. 4.50: FREEWHEELIN’. Top pop music acts from around the world. Today “Aussie Rock” featuring exKiwi drummer, Johnny Dick, Rick Springfield and “Hush.”
5.05: LITTLE WOMEN. Jo (Angela Down) has met Laurie (Stepner Turner) and learnt of his troubles 5.35: THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY. “Beethoven, Brahms and Partridge” (repeat). 6.00: FIRST EDITION. News. 6.30: AND MOTHER MAKES THREE. Sally is not happy to learn that David expects her to give up work once they are married (repeat). 6455: POLICE FIVE. Viewers are invited to help fight crime. 7.00: THE JULIE ANDREWS HOUR. Julie’s guests are Don Rickies, Rich Little and Alice Ghostley. 7.50: PERSPECTIVE. "The Test Tube Education”—genetic engineering. 8.20: UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS. Daisy is overjoyed at the news that Edward will be home for New Year’s Eve. Richard Bellamy is offered a viscountcy in the New Year’s Honours List.
9.10: THE BLUE KNIGHT. “The Great Wall of Chinatown.”
10.00: LATE EDITION. News. 10.10: CONSEQUENCES. A drama about the humdrum life of Eunice, a councillor’s wife, that is suddenly upset by the entrance of an attractive girl. Myrna, manageress of a sex shop, says that she and Eunice are half sisters, bom out of wedlock. 11.05: KALEIDOSCOPE. Picasso’s work from Guernica to the present is featured in “Museum Without Walls — Picasso.” The artist is photographed inside his studios near Cannes (repeat).
