New member of party council
PA • Wellington Mr R. G. Kirk, of New Brighton, has been elected Christchurch regional representative on the Labour Party Council.
He replaces Mr W. R. Cameron, who resigned from the council when he was elected to the executive of the Federation of Labour. Mr Kirk, who 1 is 42, is an organiser for the Canterbury Meat Workers’ Union.
