Four from N.Z. for sclerosis conference
Four New Zealand representatives will attend an international conference on multiple sclerosis at Amsterdam next month. The conference, which will be held concurrently with the eleventh World Neurological Assembly, will review all research on multiple sclerosis done in the last four years. One of the main speakers at the medical section of the conference of the International Federation of Multiple Sclerosis Societies will be Professor lan McDonald, 1 a Christchurchborn neurologist who heads
• a British multiple sclerosis . research clinic in London. The 3000 New Zealanders 1 with multiple sclerosis will ■ be represented at the conference by Dr J. A. K. Cun--1 ineham, a Christchurch neurologist; Dr L. F, Haas, a 1 Wellington neurologist; Mrs • Esme Tombleson, president ?of the National Multiple s Sclerosis Society; and Mr r John Brown, a Christchurch journalist, who has had s multiple sclerosis for 14; ; years. Mr Brown spent fix f months overseas last year; s studying multiple sclerosis - welfare work on a Winston! - Churchill Memorial Trust; s award. (
