H.B. profit a record
Hallenstein Bros, Ltd, men’s and boyswear retailers, increased sales revenue 17.5 per cent to 518.9 M, and ■net unaudited profit 15.3 per cent to $1,054,000 in the year to June 30. The profit is a record for the company. Expenses rose by 16.3 per cent, and gross profit rate declined.
The profit was after providing $114,000 more for tax at $864,000. The directors will recommend to the Annual General meeting on September 23 a final dividend of 9 per cent, making a total of 15 per cent for the year, compared with 14 per cent previously.
Dividends on new shares will be 10 per cent or 10c a share.
The dividends are payable on September 23.
