A late comedy
South Pacific Television does not exactly inspire confidence when it schedules its new comedy, “All’s Fair,” in the latenight slot tonight. Built around the two main characters — an ull r a-conservative, 49-year-old columnist and a liberal, 23-year-old, freelance female photographer — the series is from the team that produced “Maude.” Richard Crenna plays the columnist and Bernadette Peters the photographer.
The two meet when the columnist’s agent and girlfriend brings Charley (the photographer) to his apartment to shoot pictures of him to promote his newest book. The friction between the two is supposed to remain etertaining for the whole series.
South Pacific Television has another 8.8. C. Horizon documentary this evening —"Red Sea Coral and Crown of Thoms.” This looks at what progress has been made in studying the animal responsible for destroying vast areas of coral.
The Cambridge coral starfish research group now has a permanent scientific team working the year round at a laboratory in Port Sudan, and on a platform that has been built of scaffolding on an offshore reef.
The group came to the Red Sea to study the starfish in a place where it was in balance. Now members have discovered two previously unknown predators on the starfish which are sufficient to explain how the balance works.
