Fast bowler breaks up opposition
NZPA-Reuter London. Wayne Daniel*, Middlesex's West Indian fast bowler, sent three Yorkshire batsmen to hospital during an English eaunty championship match at Sheffield yesterday. First to go was the opener, Richard Ltunb. when a rising bal] from Daniela struck him on the hand. Next the England test batsman, John Hampshire wag hit and then Arnie Sidebottom became Daniels’s third victom. Despite the setbacks, Yorkshire was well placed against the county champions after the opening day’s play. It finished on 121 for three tn reply to Middlesex’s 181. Geoff Cone ripped through Middlesex’s innings, taking four wickets for five. Other matches:—
