Jaycees in new areas
A new Jaycee chapter will be formed in the Shirley, Burwood, and Parklands districts to help meet the community demands posed by the sudden growth in the area. The Jaycee decided to expand after a survey showed a rapid growth in the number of housing projects, schools, and shopping areas planned or under construction in Parklands.
An embryo chapter has held its first meeting and 40 young men have indicated that they will join. Two of the organisers, Messrs J. Bromley and B. Rittey, are working towards the official formation of the chapter next month.
