Cinnamon squares

These are hot and tasty. Eat them after school. You need:— 4 slices of bread; 30g or loz butter; 2 tablespoons of sugar; 1 teaspoon cninamon.

First, ask an adult to help you pre-heat the grill. Next, toast one side of each slice of bread underneath it. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over gentle heat and add the sugar and cinnamon. Stir the ingredients well together.

Remove the nan from the heat and spread the mixture over the untoasted side of each slice of bread. Place under the grill to cook the sugar mixture. Remove when it is crusty and bubbling. Finally, slice off the crusts and cut the toast into squares. Serve hot.
