Marketing officer
The commercial division of the New Zealand Wool (Board has appointed Mrs Shelley-Maree Wilson as knitwear product marketing officer.
Mrs Wilson graduated from the University of Canterbury in 1970 with a B.A. degree in English and sociology. After working for six months with a Christchurch advertising firm, she joined Kaiapoi Textiles to do k n i t w e a r-product development and design. Later she moved into promotion, advertising and marketing for the manufacturer.
Before joining the New Zealand Wool Board Mrs Wilson worked for more than two years with a Wellington design company. For the last six years, knitwear and menswear marketing by the board have been the responsibility of Mrs Sharyn McDowell. Mrs Wilson’s appointment will free Mrs McDowell to expand the board’s marketing and styling services to the menswear industry.
