Pedestrian killed
A pedestrian died yesterday after he was struck by a car in Colombo Street in the early hours of the morning. He was
Theodore Dennis Sullivan, aged 55. of 13 Devon Street, Sydenham.
Mr Sullivan is believed to have been hit by the car as he got to his feet after falling over in the middle of the road. The accident occurred about 12.10 a.m., just round the comer from his home. A Blenheim woman died in the Wairau Hospital on Saturday evening after being struck by a car in Grove Road earlier that day. She was
Anna Wilhelmina Tierney, aged 69, of 49 Girling Avenue.
No charge has been laid by the police in connection with either accident.
