Middlesbrough wins, 10-0
NZPA Sydney’ The touring English soccer team Middlesbrough scored its biggest win in more than 30 years when it beat Western New South Wales Amateur Federation 10-0 at Lithgow, west of Sydney. Jt was the first time that an English first division soccer side had played in central western New South Wales and the game attracted 3500 spectators to the Lithgow citv sports ground. The tourists led 7-0 at halftime and eased up in the second half. Middlesbrough officials cannot remember a higher score Since the team defeated Sheffield United 10-3 in 1946.
