Ski-ing.— The Tekapo ski field will be open during the weekend. Conditions were described yesterday as excellent, with fresh snow on a good base and the slopes groomed. Chains are essential. The whole Mount Hutt ski field basin was skiable yesterday'. All lifts are expected to be operating for tiie week-end. The road is clear and chains considered essential.
