Bachelor of Science, N.Z. Certificate in Science < or equivalent; and * 2. Experience in chemical maintenance of steam power plant or other similar industrial pro- |< cess equipment, to supervise and monitor ex- j tensive process equipment at New Plymouth < Station in New Plymouth city. Five 120,000 kilowatt boiler turbine-generator units, each rated at close to 453 t/h of steam at 124 bar and 538 degrees Celsius. Duties include analysis of boiler water, rain water, condensate and feed water, supervision of water treatment plant, fuel and lubricating oil analysis and technical investigations of corrosion t problems. The work will mainly be in a laboratory r environment associated with daily confirmation of a plant conditions. Applicants lacking experience in this type of work but who are studying for or possess the |- deired educational qualifications will also be considered for appointment.
