Wool price down
The average price paid for wool at the final Christchurch sale of the season last month was down by more than 10 per cent on the result of the previous sale at the end of March and beginning of April.
The average price was 185.23 c a kilogram, more than 22c down on the twoday sale at the end of March land beginning of April. i However, compared with jthe May sale last year the I average was still better by imore than 15c or almost 9 iper cent. i Last month 3,490,647 kg of greasy wool in 23,044 bales sold for a total of ; $6,465,624. The average price ia bale was $280.58.
