50 groups in music contest
Fifty school music groups will take part in the Christchurch area finals of the Bank of New South Wales school music contest at I Christchurch Boys’ High School at the week-end. A record number of 1650 students will perform in 13;
district contests throughout j New Zealand. Works by Beethoven. Pur-! cell. Bach. Brahms, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, and Si-! belius will be presented. The final will be held at the Wellington Town Hall on’ 'August 7. |
