Heaslip on Prepak

PA Auckland The Takanini jockey, Rodney Heaslip, who has been enjoying a run of success lately, has gained the choice mount of Prepak in the $12,000 Cornwall Handicap at Ellerslie tomorrow. Heaslip got the mount when, the fust rider for the Verver stable, David Peake, declared himself not fully recovered from a broken collarbone. Peake has been riding work at Takanini this week but he said yesterday morning he did not want to risk snapping the affected bone again. Yesterday at Takanini, Prepak wound up her Cornwall Handicap preparation by running a solid 1600 m and another Cornwall Handicap runner, Battle Fury, also got through useful work.
