Sport grant falls
The Ministry of Recreation j and Sport has allocated] $34,169 to the Waimairi ] County Council. Councillors at a meeting of the finance and by-laws committee were told in their report that the amount was calculated at 50c a head. The actual sum was about $BOO less than last year as a result of a recent census. Inflation had eroded the amount still further, said Cr A. A. Adcock. He said that “the rather i
