Ploughing contest
Top ploughmen from 22 districts will contest the twenty-first anniversary national Atlantic Silver Plough competition at Gladstone, near Carterton, on July 1 and 2. Two ploughmen instead of the usual one will be selected to represent New Zealand at the 1977 world ploughing contest in the Netherlands in October. — P.A.
