Cricket club expands
St Albans, one of Christchurch’s most ambitious cricket clubs, is preparing for further extensions to its attractive clubrooms at Hagley Oval. The extensions will be completed in two sections. The top level, containing lounge facilities, should begin in August, provided the finance can I - raised. Provision has been made to strengthen the downstairs section, which contains the changing facilities, including showers and toilets, and the St Albans club captain, Alan Jamieson, hopes this will be completed within the next I two years. i “I’m confident the funds can be raised by August. The extensions should cover approximately an extra 350 square feet,” he said. In addition to these plans, St Albans recently became! [the first club to officially! [unite with a women’s cricket I club. From next season, the! I St Albans men’s and women’s'
