Hi Roona, winner of his last! three races, is one of the more! obvious chances in the Fletcher! Sprint, second leg of the Otago Racing Club’s T.A.B. double on Saturday. At Riccarton yesterday, he showed he had thrived since his most recent win, at the Amberley meeting, by scorching over 800 m in 48sec. He galloped ort the No. 1 grass, which showed its drying qualities overnight after rain on Monday. Hi Roona will have his usual race rider, Brian Hibberd, at Wingatui. Binkie. a stabiemate of Hi Roona, advanced her preparation for the first leg of Saturday’s Wingatui double by running her 800 m in 50.4. She is at ease on the heaviest ground, and might have a rewarding campaign at the Otago meeting. Godsend shaded Candidate in
