Sentence for knifing
PA Napier Thomas Wong, aged 30. a company director, of Hastings, has been sentenced to four months periodic detention in the Supreme Court at Napier on a charge of causing grevious bodily harm to a woman with a knife. He
had been found not guilty by a jury of attempted murder. The jury added a plea for lenience for Wong. Imposing sentence, Mr Justice Ongley noted that I the complainant and defendant were reconciled ; and intended to marry. |
