Amin’s atrocities
Sir, —In response to R. G. McElrea (“The Press,” May 23), I would like to say on behalf of C.A.R.E. that we appreciate and share his concern about the atrocities occurring in Uganda, South Africa, and in any country where people are oppressed. C.A.R.E. is itself involved in matters specifically concerning race relations at home and abroad. We look forward with interest to hear of or see the actions of R. G. McElrea and interested people in taking up “the cause of those who are oppressed by their own kind.” —Yours, etc.,
P. G. WILKINS, Secretary, Christchurch C.A.R.E. May 24, 1977.
