Virgin and the Sex Pistols
The latest single by the Sex Pistols, “God Save the Queen,” is expected to be released in Britain next week, after the group’s signing with Virgin Records — the third company it has signed with in nine months. However, there have been problems with the single, which, according to the group, is meant to celebrate the Jubilee Year, because neither CBS or RCA would press the record. So far the group has gone through two companies — EMI and A and M.
