Prime stock values were often easier at the Addington Mtuntt yesterday. Compared with sales in recent ‘weeks, cows had a much better *sale. Prime lambs Prime lambs had quite a good •sale. although values were : slightly easier. Entries in the prime sheep section rose from 740 last week to 1020. The yarding Included a very good selection of young wethers. These appeared to fall short of last week’s rates, although a buyer was moved to comment that they did not have I a great deal of pelt. Ewes continued to sell well,' although there was not as much, competition as last week. This section included a useful offering of Romneys. Values were:— Bost young wethers, to $l6. Medium wethers. $14.30 to $14.30. Plainer wethers. $l3 to $l4. Full-mouthed wethers, $10.70 to $l3. Bast adult ewes, to $14.70. Medium ewes. $10.89 to 311.80.. Other ewes, $9.50 to $10.30. Prime cattle Prime cattle had a reasonably good sale, although the market [usually followed an easier level. '.This was largely because of a large selection of light-weight j steers and irelfers, many of ' which were marginal for trade I requirements.
