Soccer goal lead shared
Stop Out’s Derek Gibson-Smith has joined Keith Nelson (Hamilton) at the top of the Rothmans Soccer League goal scoring chart. Both have scored nine goals, but Nelson’s tally includes two penalties. Sam Malcolmsen (Stop Out) has eight. Gibson-Smith and Malcolmson between them scored Stop Out’s first 17 league goals, but Keith Barton became the first to break their monopoly when he got the eighteenth, the side’s third goal in its 3-1 victory over North Shore at the weekend.
