Old stamps renewed

Special rolls of 7c and Sc stamps overprinted on 3c and 4c stamps, have been released by the Post Office. The rolls, containing 400 stamps, fit the “Postafix” stamp machines commonly used by businesses. Post Offices will sell only complete rolls, although collectors may buy the stamps singly from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, and Gisborne post offices'. The overprinting was done on the old stamps because they fit the “Postafix” machines.
