No bail again for nine men
Bail was again refused the nine men charged with unlawful assembly after a gatecrashing incident at an engagement party at Riccarton on March 24, and they were remanded in custody to May 19 by Mr B. A. Palmer, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Six persons were injured in the incident, and $l4OO worth of damage was caused. Those charged with unlawful assembly are: Stuart Donald Jordan, aged 21; Brent Steven Gregg, aged 21; Gary Wayne Tavendale, aged 19; Peter John Gallagher, aged 19; David Arthur Best, aged 26; Michael Colin Best, aged 20; Wayne Jeffrey Warwood, aged 20; Christopher; Robin Adair, aged 20; and; Anthony Sidney Frederick | Wood, aged 17.
