NZPA t London The Leeds coach, Syd Hynes, paid tribute to Chris Sanderson, who died playing for the club two weeks ago. after Leeds won the Rugby League Challenge Cup final with a 16-7 win <ner Widnes. “I’d give the cup away if we could have him back,” Hynes said. The Leeds captain, David Ward, said: "We won It for Chris.” , Widnes, at Wembley for the third year running and beaten for the second successive time, had its hopes smashed by a 19-year-old playing in his first Challenge Cup tie. Kevin Dick, whose performance at scrum-half has excited fans, gloried in the big occasion, scoring 10 points with a try, three goals and a drop goal. Widnes, strong favourite to win the cup, was well beaten by the Leeds team, which soaked up more than its fair share of punishment before taking command in the second half.
