Logs towed up coast
Greymouth reporter
A giant raft of logs, containing 100,000 superficial feet, is being towed from Okuru, south of Haast, on a long haul to Greymouth by a fishing boat, to beat the weight restriction on bridges.
The raft was pushed into the sea by bulldozer yesterday, and connected to the fishing trawler Lady Dorothy. It is not known how long the journey to Greymouth will take.
