PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations, 1965. notice is hereby given that the Paparua County Council, for the purposes of enabling the Canterbury Rally Panel to conduct a special stage of a motor rally, proposes to close the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder. During the proposed period ef closure the following provisions will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the road: 1. Local property owners with access on to the closed portion of the road are to be given immediate access on request.

2. Rag marshalls at either end of the closed portion of the road are to be ini contact by two-way radio in order that the delay to other users of the road does not exceed five minutes.

Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of his objection and the grounds thereof in writing before May 21, 1977, at the offices of the Council at 149 Main South Road, Christchurch 4.

TEMPLIN TRAVELLING SCHOLARSHIP IN

ENGINEERING AND HORTICULTURE

THE NEW ZEALAND INSURANCE COMPANY, LIMITED, as trustee of the John Richard Templin Travelling Scholarship Trust is now calling for applications for the travelling Scholarships to be made available to Engineering graduates of the University of Canterbury and Horticulture or Botany graduates of Lincoln College or graduates who have obtained a National Diploma of the Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture from Lincoln College or through the Reserves Department of the Christchurch City Council, as selected by a Committee specially appointed for the task. The Scholarships are for study in the United States of America and are normally tenable for one year. It is desirable that applicants should intend to study at Ohio State University, U.S.A.
