46 teams qualify
Twenty-three teams from the Christchurch centre have qualified in the Mailborough Bowling Centre’s annual Easter tournament being played at Blenheim. Fortv-six teams qualified yes terdav’ from the 132 entries, and apart' from the Christchurch teams there are 14 from Marlborough, five from Wellington, and one each from New Plymouth, Pohara, Motueka and llokanui.
B. J. Smith (Linwood) and B. P. Wilson (Burwood) have byes in the first round “today but will meet in the second round. I. McAllister (Dallington) and I. E. Smith (Linwood) will be in the same situation.
