North wins shooting title
The North Island smallbore rifle shooting team beat the South by 11 points in the annual contest at the I Burnett range on Saturday [ morning, and retained the title it took from the South (last year. However, the South did provide the top scorers. John Fleming (Ashburton), | who captained the team, had an excellent 396 from a pos-[ sible 400 and lan Ballinger (Christchurch) was only one point behind.
The 1966 Commonwealth Games representative, Brian [Lacey (Levin) and Nan Bari low (Hutt Valley), who 1 shared the Canterbury championship on Friday, led
