PA Invercargill Awarua Radio reported that it had not been in touch with the Timaru fishing boat Seafarer yesterday. The Seafarer, which left Timaru early last Sundav for the Auckland Islands, reported earlier in the

week that it was uncertain when it would reach the islands because of adverse weather. The I7m boat, which is carrying six men, is trying to locate the wreck of the ship General Grant, which was earning a shipment of gold when she sank on i Auckland Island in 1866.
