A man was said to be I stepping ashore from a ’ ferry wearing a loin cloth, ’ gum boots and carrying a baby. The police confirmed ; that much. But his story was simple. | the baby had been seasick over his clothes and the ) loin cloth was the best he could do while the ship crossed Cook Strait.
