Committee for radio

PA Wellington The Mayor of Dargaville (Mr D. W. Stevens) will be chairman of the three-man committee of private broadcasters established under last year’s Broadcasting Act. The other members of the committee will be Mr C. G. Mason, of Auckland, and Mr B. Swift, of Wellington.

The committee will be responsible for dealing with allegations about breaches of warrants, and complaints about the programmes of private broadcasting stations. Miss Sunny Arney, of Auckland has been appointed to the Broadcasting Corporation.
