apparatus to enter me smoke-filled house. The damage, although severe, was confined mainly' to one room. An electrical fault is the suspected cause of the blaze. The Christchurch C. 1.8. was called in to investigate a small fire in a shed at 65 Madras Street about 1.50 p.m. yesterday. The fire caused minor damage only, but was “highly suspicious,” said a Fire Service spokesman.
